How to get into VC? (Venture Capital)
"Getting into VC" is notoriously hard, even for the top 0.1%ers, the Ivy Leaguers. The industry is a sheer cult of absolutist exclusion, generally off limits to anyone but the pre-existing wealthy, politically connected, rich trust fund babies, & or those who exited via the "BigTech" establishment or those who have the money to fund their own funds. Hundreds of 1000s of people are trying to get in, but there are only 24,000 funds worldwide, and most of those aren't active, and with only 3-20 staff per fund, there are 1000 applicants per job. Some VC centers like VClab are producing up to 200 VC funds a year, #1 in the world, but there is no one else like them worldwide. The world needs 200 VC funds being produced in every large city not just in silicon valley. While many VC lie that there are too many startups, the data shows the delusion, even top 2x exited founders of the most famous startups have to pitch 40-200 VC before they will get a deal, with 39-199 of the VC being dead wrong on their investment allocation choices even for top exited founders, as this simple data exposes. When it comes to the other 99% of humanity, all the rest of us, what chance do we have?
So, what is the solution? The only solution is for many people, founders, & new participants to pool together, in 'angel-investment-club' type Venture capital funds, many hands on deck, and build 'community-led venture capital funds' then crowdfund & crowdfinance them together however can.
